Since its inception in 1972, the purpose of the North Canton Heritage Society has been and continues to be to promote historical research, preserve historical records and memorabilia, promote interest in local and national history, and protect historic sites in the local area.
The North Canton Heritage Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, funded only through memberships and the generosity of donations from businesses and the community. Thank you!

It’s that time again! The North Canton Heritage Society is once again hosting its Annual Membership Appreciation Party!
If you’re a member, please join us at “The Homestead,” located at 730 Portage St NW, North Canton, OH 44720 – a beautiful historical home, featuring German-influenced design, an English-style garden, and the infamous Prohibition Era-themed New Berlin Speakeasy!
This year, we are spotlighting New Berlin of the 1860s, focusing on people, places and businesses of that formative decade in our city and nation’s history!
Not a member? That’s okay, you can become one upon arrival! Or you can become a member on our website.
Raffle prizes will be drawn at 5:30, 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, and 7:30, featuring our sponsors: Kraus’s Pizza, New Berlin Brewery, Dairy Queen, and Starbucks! Light Hors D’oeuvres and refreshments will be served! We are so grateful for your patronage and memberships and hope you enjoy this wonderful evening!
